Panel 2: KJ crouches in his basement, gripping an old dusty book. The leather cover is cracked with age, and a bright purple gem glints on the front. Around him, he’s arranged candles in a careful circle, their flames casting dancing shadows on the concrete walls.

KJ:

“This is so stupid, can’t believe I let Dylan and Jorden convince me into doing this.”

KJ: “I guess I’ll just get this over with”

SFX: Shhh

KJ turns the page.

KJ (Cont’d): “Venite ad me, princeps tenebrarum. Audio vocem meam et apparet.”

Panel 2: Wide shot of KJ at the circle's edge, book in hand, his arm reaching toward the center.

SFX: Sigh

KJ: "Well, that was anticlimactic,"

KJ reached for his phone.

KJ (Cont’d): "Guess demons don't—"

Panel 3: The candles flare up, their massive flames throwing shadows that dance across the room. KJ stands at the edge, his back to us.

KJ: “WHAT THE HELL!?”

SFX: WHOOM, FWOOOSH

Panel 4: Close up on KJ’s chest as he grabs his shirt, trying to anchor himself.

panel 5: A purple swirling portal appears in front of KJ, kicking up dust in the basement and creating intense air pressure.

The portal closes behind her.

KJ starts to inch towards the door

KJ: “I didn't think it would work! It was just a dare from my friends!”

Text Bubble 2: “But that’s so cute! A dare! I haven’t been summoned for something so innocent in, like, forever!”

Everything settles back down on the ground.

Lilixia: “You don’t even know how. This book is missing the banishing ritual. Typical human negligence.”

KJ: “Then how do I—”

Panel 6:

Wide shot. Lilixia's appearance has completely changed. Her horns are gone, her eyes are now a normal hazel color, and her outfit has transformed into jeans and a purple hoodie.

Lilixia: "Ta-da! Totally normal human girl!"

Panel 7: KJ staring at her, looking both impressed and concerned.

KJ: "That's... actually pretty good. But how am I going to explain who you are?"

Panel 8:

Lilixia tapping her chin thoughtfully, looking upward.

Lilixia: "New study partner? Or ooh! Exchange student!"

Text bubble 2: "I've always wanted to pretend to be from... where's a place humans come from? France? Is France still a thing?"

Panel 9:

Both KJ and Lilixia freeze as footsteps sound from above.

SFX: THUMP THUMP THUMP

KJ's Mom (off-panel): "KJ? Are you down there?"

Lilixia giving KJ a thumbs up and a wink.

KJ with his eyes closed, hand on his forehead, looking stressed.

Wide shot. Lilixia hastily kicking the candles under the couch while dusting away the chalk marks with her foot. KJ watches in horror.

KJ calling up toward the stairs, forcing a smile.

KJ: "Yeah, Mom, I'm here! Just, uh, hanging out with a... friend."

The footsteps grow closer.

SFX: THUMP THUMP THUMP

Close-up of KJ's face, sweating nervously.

Narration box: "I just accidentally summoned one of Hell's most powerful beings, and now she's about to meet my mother while pretending to be an exchange student from France."
